Description

This student has had to deal with the trauma of the deaths of his father and mother, one after the other, in the last five years. His father, who was a tailor, passed away four years ago after a heart attack and the mother passed away after respiratory issues a year ago.

The student, who is now in the second year of a post-graduate degree, is keen on completing his education so that he can start supporting himself. He now lives with his mother's younger sister and her husband. The aunt and uncle have supported him with accommodation and meals but are unable to pay his fees as they hold only odd jobs in agriculture.

The college fees is pending for the last three semesters (Rs.18890 x 3). The college provides a scholarship of Rs. 7,000 every semester as he has lost both parents. The student was referred to Aalayam by the college administration based on the help offered to another student in the same college.

Aalayam has decided to raise a sum of Rs. xx,000 to help the student with the pending fees.
